
Accra, Ghana//-Mrs Akua Adufa Aboagye Mintah, journalist/producer and CEO of KAIROS KONSULT/LOGISTICS, emerged the Media Personality and Influential Youth Leader (Religion) for the year 2021 at the Ghana Media and Entrepreneurship Awards (GMAEA).
From about 300 nominations to a shortlist of about 100 with an average of five persons in each category, Mrs Mintah beat off stiff competition to win the two awards at the awards ceremony held in Accra over the weekend.
Mrs Mintah who works at the Despite Media in Accra is known for her reportage on social, health, business and telecommunication issues.
She has also produced Despite Media’s flagship programs like Asomdwe Nkomo, Wo Haw Ne Sen, Mpom Te Sen and EKWANSO DWOODWOO hosted by Abeiku Santana.
As a correspondent of the Office of the First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, she spends her leisure time speaking at women and youth church programmes and seminars.

The event also saw Kwame Asare Obeng, commonly known by his stage name, A Plus a Ghanaian-born singer, hiplife rapper, and political activist; the CEO of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah; French Ambassador to Ghana, Anne Sophie Avé; and other important dignitaries winning awards and citations respectively.
The Ghana Media and Entrepreneurship Awards (GMAEA) celebrates hardworking media practitioners and indigenous Ghanaian businesses that are making impact and contributing to the economic growth of the country.
