
Accra, Ghana//-Antika Company Limited which was established over two decades ago to provide high-quality seeds, distribute, and sell agro-inputs such as fertilizer, agro-chemicals, and simple and affordable farm tools to farmers in the Upper West Region and across the Northern part of Ghana, has won the Agro-input Retailer Of The Year Award at the Ghana Agriculture and Agro-processing Awards 2023.
The award comprising a plaque and a certificate was presented to the Company and received by Masahudu Ankiilu Kunateh, a younger brother of the Managing Director (MD) of Company, Alhaji Abdulai Antiku Seidu at Movenpick Hotel, Accra on Friday, August 11, 2023.
In a citation which reads: “This certifies that Antika Company Limited is the winner of the category of Agro-input Retailer Of The Year 2023 for the Ghana Agriculture and Agro-processing Awards”.
The awards organised by KN Unique Communications, a leading 360 corporate and marketing communications company, recognises the achievements of Antika Company Limited and other companies and individuals that play a significant role in the development of the country’s agriculture sector.
It also recognises the key functions within the industry that promote standards, excellence, and innovation in the agribusiness and stewardship.
Furthermore, the awards recognizes the industry’s merits and sets a benchmark for excellence whilst rewarding innovative ideas that have pushed the boundaries of what is possible. It again recognizes excellence in the agricultural industry cutting across industry and individual excellence.
Commenting on the prestigious award, the Managing Director (MD) of Antika Company Limited, Alhaji Abdulai Antiku Seidu dedicated the award to “all our customers, partners, staff, among others”.
He urged them to keep on doing business with the company, assuring them that; “we will never take your loyalty for granted”.
Antika Company Limited which is based in Wa, the Upper West Regional capital has employed over 290 workers comprising 65 permanent staff and 220 casuals made up of 65 females and 225 males.
The company’s large farm is located at Tabiasi in the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District of the Upper West Region of Ghana.

Earlier, in his welcome, the Chief Executive Officer of KN Unique Communications, Oheneba Kwabena Kena, said the purpose of the premier awards event is to bring together players of the agriculture and agro-processing industry.
“We also seek to bring together business players and recognise achievements from local and international companies involved in various sectors of the agriculture and agro-processing value chains”.
Mr Kena added that their purpose is to “reward those who have played a role in moving industries and businesses forward and have demonstrated achievement across a wide variety of domains including customer service, safety, performance, leadership, prudence, operational and product excellence, innovation and others”.
Other category awardees of the night were include- Agrisolve Ghana Limited, AMP Logistics Ghana, Agrimercarb, Bemcom Enterprises Limited, Esoko, Ghana Oil Palm Development Company Ltd, Koa Impact, Olam Agri, and Premium Trees Ghana Ltd.
While the founder and CEO of Homefoods Processing and Cannery Company, Madam Felicia Twumasi; the CEO of Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Dr Afua Asabea Asare; and the Regional Manager of Seed Co West and Central Africa, Dr Takemore Chagomoka took home Honouree awards.
