Ghana: OSP Grants Paul Adom-Otchere Bail After Meeting Revised Bail Conditions

former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Paul Adom-Otchere

Accra, Ghana//-Paul Adom-Otchere, the former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited, has been released from the custody of the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

He was released from the OSP’s office in the company of former Attorney General, Godfred Dame, and his lawyers.

However, Adom-Otchere has reportedly been recalled by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to complete some administrative procedures.

This comes after the OSP approved revised bail conditions for Paul Adom-Otchere, following negotiations with his legal counsel.

In a statement posted on its social media platforms on Friday, August 1, the OSP confirmed that the revised terms meet the objectives of the original bail conditions and have been secured by the Jospong Group of Companies, acting as surety.

“The revised terms, which meet the objectives of the original bail conditions, have been secured by the Jospong Group of Companies,” the OSP said, noting that the matter remains under active investigation.

Adom-Otchere was invited by the OSP in connection with a revenue assurance contract between GACL and a private firm, allegedly awarded without full board approval. He was eventually detained after failing to meet bail requirements, citing his lack of ownership of landed property in Ghana.
