Ghana: MobileMoney Limited Unveils Promo To Reward Customers With Exciting Prizes

Accra, Ghana, MobileMoney Limited (MML), MTN Ghana subsidiary responsible for mobile financial services, today launched “Me Nsa Aka” promo to reward its existing 17 million customers and potential ones with exciting prizes across the country.

 

The consumer promo, according to senior officers of the MML, is designed to encourage customers to adopt and actively use the upgraded MoMo App for their financial transactions whilst rewarding their loyalty.

The promo, which is themed ‘One MoMo App, Endless Rewards’, is aimed at moving customers from traditional USSD service to a fully fresh digital platform that is smooth and easy to use by all customers of the company.

Customers conducting transactions via the MoMo App, including sending money, accessing loans, buying shares, paying utility bills, and buying airtime, would qualify for rewards at daily, weekly, and monthly intervals, with the ultimate being GHC100,000, Senior Manager of Fintech Channels at MobileMoney Limited, Abdul-Majeed Rufai, said at the launch.

He mentioned that daily prizes, which are up for grabs and include amounts ranging from GHC100 to GHC200 and high-speed routers, while the weekly prizes range from GHC500 to GHC2,000.

Mr Rufai added that the monthly prizes range from GHC3,000 to GHC5,000, whilst five grand prize winners would receive between GHC10,000 and GHC100,000.

The promo, which runs from today, 15th September, to 15 December 2025, according to him, is an initiative meant to thank their loyal customers and encourage them to embrace digital financial tools as the company celebrates its 16th year this year.

Mr Rufai also used the launch to throw more light on the app’s features, such as biometric login and facial recognition, which enable seamless access without relying solely on PINs.

He emphasised: “Through this promo, we want to reward loyalty while encouraging customers to embrace the MoMo App as their go-to digital finance tool”.

Manager of Applications and Channels at MML, Madam Cynthia Fiamor, described the upgraded MoMo App as “a smarter, more secure, and user-friendly platform for digital financial transactions”.

She said that whatever customers who previously performed on *170# could now be done directly on the app, but with an improved interface, enhanced visibility, and stronger security.

“We have taken the features of your smartphone and made them smarter for you. From today, you can activate your biometrics and enjoy the highest security on the MoMo App. No one can have your biometrics”.

Other features of the app, Madam Fiamor, mentioned include QR code payments for instant merchant transactions, “Pay by Link” to request money through a shareable link.

She also added that customers could now download their account statements for 30, 90, or 120 days directly on the app, perform international money transfers to countries such as Nigeria, and enjoy seamless wallet-to-bank and bank-to-wallet transfers.

In her own words: “If you download the app today, you will also benefit from several free transactions every weekend for the next 90 days. This is an exciting incentive for customers who want to save costs while enjoying the convenience of digital finance”.

The launch held in Accra brought together MTN executives, Mobile Money Ltd leadership, partners, financial institutions, agents, and advocacy groups, among others.

The promotion is certified by the National Lotteries Authority (NLA).
