Ghana: Ga Dangbe Youth Protest Over Israel’s Genocide Against Palestinians

The protestors

Accra, Ghana//-Ga Dangbe Youth in Accra have rallied support for the people of Palestinians being bombarded by the Israelis.

The group, numbering hundreds of people, together with the Ambassador of the Palestinian Embassy in Ghana on Saturday (October 26, 2024), walked from James Town through the Principal business Street of Accra and ended at Mantse Agbonaa in protest of what they described as genocide being meted against the Palestinians by the Israelis.

A member of the group, Nii Afrah Yemo, told Newsflashafrica.com that killing anywhere is killing everywhere and that whatever happens in Palestine concerns Ghanaians, hence their decision to protest against Israel’s killing of Palestinians.

He, therefore, called on Israel to stop the illegal occupation and end the genocide.

On his part, the Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana & Dean of Arab Diplomatic Mission, Mr. Abdalfatah Ahmed Khalil Alsatarri, was full of emotion seeing the massive show of support to the people of Palestine.

He described Israel’s bombardments in Palestine as war crimes against humanity, adding that many people have died as a result and that there would not be peace in the Middle East should Israel continue with the atrocities against innocent civilians.

He revealed that just yesterday, the Israelis bombed a hospital, killing 20 women.

He added that within a year, about 42,000 Palestinians have been killed, whilst 15,000 women have died.

He stressed the need for the international community to continue supporting Palestine to restore peace and freedom to  Palestine and the people.
