Ghana: Emmanuel Sosu Endorses Quarshie Adonoo to Win Ayawaso Central Seat

Emmanuel Sosu endorses Mr Adonoo

Accra, Ghana, July 26, 2019//-Emmanuel Sosu, one of the primary candidates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has bowed out of the Ayawaso Central’s race and endorsed the candidature of Victor Abdul-Satarh Quarshie Adonoo to win the seat.

Announcing his withdrawal from the contest in a press release, Mr Sosu said: “On behalf of my campaign team, I wish to inform the general public and NDC members of Ayawaso Central Constituency in particular of my withdrawal from the parliamentary primaries to declare my unalloyed support for my brother and friend, Victor Abdul-Satarh Quarshie Adonoo, the former Greater Accra Regional Secretary”.

After a thorough deliberation and consultation with senior party members, supporters, well-wishers, and my team members I have decided to throw my weight behind Hon. Victor Quarshie in the name of party unity and progress, he added.

“Victor Quarshie’s vision of breaking the NPP’s monopoly and building a vibrant party owned by the grassroot matches mine and I have no option than to withdraw and support him unconditionally”.

Having been in the helm of affairs of the party right from the grassroots to the top, and his rich political experience gained over the years, VQ stands tall as far as the people’s choice on the ground is concerned.

I am of the firm conviction that when given the nod as the parliamentary candidate, he will utilise his political experience and really position the party as an election winning machinery for the 2020 victory project”.

Without doubt, I strongly believe that Victor Quarshie Adonoo has a brighter chance of wrestling the seat for our great party, the NDC at Ayawaso Central from the inept and super incompetent NPP’s Henry Quartey, Mr Sosu noted.

“By this statement, I am calling on all delegates of the upcoming NDC parliamentary primaries scheduled for 24th August, 2019 to reward his hard work and loyalty by voting massively for him to become our parliamentary candidate”.
