PRINPAG Names 5-Member Committee for 2024 Awards Nominations

Accra, November 12, 2024 – The Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has announced the formation of a five-member committee to oversee nominations for this year’s PRINPAG Awards.

These annual awards highlight excellence in print and online journalism across Ghana, encouraging originality, innovation, and editorial independence among media practitioners.

The committee members are:

Sir Ben Asorrow – (Chairman) 

Mr. Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri – (Secretary)

Lawyer Ken Agyei Kuranchie – (Member)

Mr. Awudu Mahama – (Member)

Mr. David Tamakloe – (Member)

The committee is entrusted with nominating winners across award categories based on criteria developed by PRINPAG’s National Executives. Their dedicated work ensures that our awards uphold the highest standards, celebrating the achievements of journalists who exemplify integrity and professionalism, according to a press release issued  by the  Executive Secretary of PRINPAG,, Jeorge Wilson Kingson

“The 2024 PRINPAG Awards Ceremony will take place in December, where selected nominees will be honoured for their outstanding contributions to the industry. In light of this, PRINPAG encourages all members to support the committee’s work, recognising its vital role in maintaining the integrity and prestige of our awards.

Furthermore, we advise members to fulfil any outstanding financial obligations to PRINPAG to secure their good standing with the Association and ensure eligibility for recognition”, the press release said.
