Chief of Ati-Amanfrom in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Barima Ati Awuah Kwaako

Eastern Region, Ghana//-The Chief of Ati-Amanfrom in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Barima Ati Awuah Kwaako, has called for enhanced unity and progressive development in the community this year.

In a new Year message, Barima commended the chiefs and people of the town for their sense of unity and dedication to the development of the town and said they must work even harder to raise the bar this year.

Barima observed that Ghana in general and Akyem Abuakwa in particular can boast of many natural resources which can form the basis for general prosperity for all the people.

In this regard, the Chief commended his Overlord Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin for his sterling leadership, especially on issues of the environment and natural resources.

“I believe that the Conference on Climate Change, which Osagyefo organised last year testifies to this vision and commitment which must spread throughout Akyem Abuakwa and beyond”, he observed.

Barima had a special message for the youth. He expressed his appreciation for the way the youth organised the cleanup of the town during Odwira and other major events and called on them to do more to create a good future for themselves and the community as its future leaders.

He also commended the Tufuhemaa of the town Nana Ayaa Afua Akuffo, whose foundation teamed up with the queenmothers to organise an end-of-year party for the children of the community at the Palace.

Barima described 2022 as an “action year” and called for all hands on deck. “We must make Ati a “krabehwe” or model community that will attract people from all over the country, he concluded.
