
Accra, Ghana//-Five lucky winners of the first batch of the ‘MTN 25th Anniversary Mega Promo’ today drove home their brand new Hyundai Sonata cars from the MTN Ghana headquarters in Accra.
The winners –Kofi Anane, a teacher; Madama Grace Amoah Antwi; Madama Angela Baka Dotse, a teacher of International Community School at Buakrom in Kumasi all from the Ashanti Region; Boakye Yiadom Oseiwusu, a teacher; and Eric Osei Agyemang, Bono and Ahafo regions respectively were part of the national awards of the promo.
The Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana, Noel Kojo Ganson assured that the remaining 20 brand new cars would soon be presented to the deserving winners.
He used the occasion to remind MTN customers to be wary of the activities of fraudsters who employ various tactics to defraud them.
MTN Ghana would only call customers via 0244300000. Winners in MTN promotions are not informed via any links or promo codes. MTN would not request for any money or airtime before customers redeem their prizes, Mr Ganson added.
The five lucky winners thanked MTN Ghana for always the being the best network of choice. “You are indeed a promise keeper”, they praised.
The mega promo is based on usage where participants accrue points via revenue generating activities.
Revenue generating activities include Voice, Data, SMS, Value Added Service (VAS), digital and Mobile Money transactions where fees are charged.
In line with the company’s strategic intent for 2021, which is Leading digital solutions for Africa’s progress, promo points are skewed towards revenue generating activities performed on our digital platforms.
A customer enters into the promo by dialing *156# and select option 5.
The promo which started on 1st August 2021 will end in October this year. But by the time the promo is ended, most customers of the company would have harvested cars, flat TV screens, and other valuable goods.
Furthermore, the brand new 25 cars would be given to customers in national and regional promotions during the celebrations.
While nine cars would be given out to deserving winners at the national level, the remaining 16 cars would be awarded to winners living in the regions.
