
Accra, Ghana//-A Ghanaian banker, Dr Genevieve Pearl Duncan Obuobi has been adjudged by the Business Executive Magazine as the Outstanding Woman In Banking in Ghana.
At the magazine’s seventh Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards held at Accra, Dr Obuobi and other women were awarded for their outstanding contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.
“The main focus of this awards scheme is to identify, publicly recognize and reward women whose personal and professional conduct have been exemplary and whose achievements have been outstanding”, according to the organizer of the awards.

Other distinguished women in leadership, corporate, and entrepreneurship such as Rev. Dr Joyce Aryee, Founder and Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministries; Mrs Henrietta Sefoga, MD of Shape HealthCare; Mrs Florence Harris Adjepong, Principal of Alpha Beta Christian College; Mrs Gloria Opoku Antwi, MD of Zoomlion Ghana Limited; Mrs Nana Ama Appiah; Head, General Services and Procurement, Zenith Bank were awarded.
The event attracted personalities and past award winners including Professor Elsie Effah Kaufman, Professor Goski Alabi, Ambassador of Columbia Claudia Quintero Turbay, and South African High Commissioner Jeanet Manson.
