Accra, Ghana//-Devtraco Group, a leading Ghanaian real estate company, has unveiled an ultramodern hotel facility called The Pelican Hotel at the heart of Accra for all segments of people in the country’s hospitality market.
The state-of-the-art hotel, which is precisely located at Cantonments, the safest suburb in Accra, is a modern lifestyle destination designed for discerning travellers and guests seeking comfort, elegance, and exceptional service.
The Head of Sales at The Pelican Hotel, Solomon Wollie-Wollimoh, explained to journalists at a press soiree that, “The PelIcan Hotel didn’t come on board just to deliver rooms, provide food or conference services as some currently do, we go beyond that.
He added that the magnificent facility is poised to use experimental economics, which is now a new attribute in the hospital space to attract more guests, businesses and clients to the hotel.
“So, we are looking at belonging, status-signalling, emotional safety, among others. These are the attributes that make a hotel a hotel, which is why we are very happy.
If you look at what is happening in the media from booking.com to Google, for a hotel that it is opened less than a year to lead the market in every attribute of STPR, I think you should give us a round of applause. Mr Wollie-Wollimoh said.
We have done pretty well. We are leading the market in less than six months of opening. We didn’t come to play, and more are going to come, according to him.
“We have 134 rooms and suites in The Pelican Hotel. In the wisdom of adaptability, we have different categories of rooms that appeal to every category of guests who would want to stay in our hotel.
This was done with purpose, so we have standard rooms, large rooms, junior suites, premium suites, and executive suites. So, whether you are an individual, a family, a group, or a business, there are rooms for every category of guests who want to stay in our hotel.
The plush hotel also provides genuine hospitality for guests because its brand promise is tranquillity, privacy and comfort. That is what we deliver through a system that we call professional drive personalised services. We don’t miss on that, Mr Wollie-Wollimoh maintained.
In his welcome address, the Chief Executive Officer of Devtraco Group, Francis Okai Okoh, added that The Pelican Hotel, being a fully Ghanaian-owned hospitality facility, pledged to demonstrate Devtraco’s commitment to ethical investment and quality development, while adding significant value to Accra’s growing hospitality landscape.

Commitment to transparency
He used the opportunity to rededicate the company’s commitment to transparency, innovation, and responsible real estate development in the country and Africa at large.
“This morning’s meeting is a symbolic step forward in our commitment to openness, engagement, and partnership with the media and the broader public,” Mr Okoh further explained.
The Group’s Director of Development, Sydney Quaye, noted: “This press soiree actually marks three decades of our existence with a purpose. So, it is a moment of reflection, gratitude and renewed ambition.
For 30 years
“For 30 years, we have seen as the wholly Ghanaian-owned company operating as a real estate developer with a vision, with integrity, discipline and with execution.
From our inception, we have believed that world-class development can be conceived, financed, delivered and sustained by Ghanaian hands to global standards.
Mr Quayed continued: “I am proud to say that the entire Devtraco management team is Ghanaian, and we have been building this systematically using the foundation of our founder, Mr Seth Aidoo, over 30 years ago. He has studied, guided and grateful to him for that.
Later, Executives of the Devtraco Group and The Pelican Hotel conducted the journalists around the facility. The Pelican Hotel is being managed by Aleph Hospitality, which is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
