Accra, Ghana//-Shaibu Haruna, CEO of MobileMoney Limited, MTN Ghana subsidiary responsible for mobile financial services, has been adjudged CEO of the Year in the Fintech Sector at the highly acclaimed eighth Ghana CEO Summit.
He was awarded for his outstanding accomplishment and contribution towards the growth of the financial technology (fintech) sector.
Commenting on the award, Mr Haruna said he was honoured to have won the prestigious and used the opportunity to thank his colleagues as well as the customers of the company.
The Ghana CEO Summit and Excellence Awards annually gathers CEOs, Heads of State, entrepreneurs, and business leaders across Ghana and some parts of West Africa.
The awards according to the organisers foster high-impact learning, insightful panel discussions, expert insights, and strategic networking opportunities.
Over 400 CEOs, business leaders, entrepreneurs, industry captains, market leaders, and policymakers attended the 8th Ghana CEO Summit and Excellence Awards.
The former President John Dramani Mahama and the Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia were part of the dignitaries who graced the event.
