The 11th edition of the HIVE Africa Summit is scheduled for June 24–28, 2026, in Accra, Ghana, and promises even greater opportunities for engagement, transformation, and impact.

This was announced at the 10th edition of HIVE Africa Summit held in Lusaka, Zambia, which attracted over 120 top CEOs, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from 21 countries across Africa and the diaspora.

The high-level gathering held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka from June 25–29, 2025, brought together thought leaders, innovators, and public servants to share insights, build partnerships, and explore transformative ideas aimed at propelling the continent forward.

The summit was graced by impressive speakers, including Pan Africanist, Prof Patrick Lumumba, Dr Sylvia Cole, Dr Teresa Bassey, Patrick Uduma, Ghana’s Dr Genevieve Pearl Duncan Obuobi, Lead Consultant at Tarragon Edge, Engr. Adokiye Tombomieye, former Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited Upstream, and Allen Sophia Asiimwe, Department CEO, Trade Mark Africa, Uganda.

These prominent African voices delivered powerful speeches focused on leadership, innovation, and the future of Africa’s youth.

Ghana’s Dr Genevieve Pearl Duncan Obuobi, Lead Consultant at Tarragon Edge, who had the privilege to officially open and welcome the over 120 leaders from across 21 African countries at HIVE’s 10th edition, said it was a great session starting with the renowned Pan Africanist Prof. PLO Lumumba.

She said: “Prof. PLO Lumumba’s insights reminded us to continue to be impactful leaders, seeking solutions, and doing our bit for our beautiful continent”.
He also reiterated the power of collaboration, according to Dr Obuobi.

Dr Obuobi also had the distinguished honour to facilitate, together with Henrietta, the heartbeat of all HIVE events.

“The Designing Your Life workbook book which when authentically done, can alter your life for the best, and I love how our participants were engaged in the entire four-day session and made it extremely productive”, she said.

Dr Genevieve speaking at the event

During the Opening Dinner and Award Night, Engr. Tombomieye underscored the urgent need for Africa to “move forward” and underscored the dangers of inaction in shaping a promising future for the continent’s youth.

He therefore called on leaders to take bold steps that would ensure Africa’s progress is not postponed any further.

One of the most unforgettable moments of the night was the acceptance speech by Hall of Fame awardee, Prof Patrick Lumumba.

In his signature eloquence, he reminded participants of their role as agents of goodness and advocates of community values.

Prof Lumumba referenced the poem “Fear” by Khalil Gibran, using its river metaphor to express how the fear of losing one’s identity can lead to transformation and union with a greater cause.

“It is better to be 10% of an elephant than 100% of a spear,” he said, stressing the strength of unity and the value of belonging to something greater than oneself.

His message—rooted in African philosophy and pan-African ideals—was a call to collective purpose and shared humanity.

Dr. Sylvia Cole, also a keynote speaker at the dinner, commended the organisers and applauded the awardees for their unwavering contributions to the continent.

She was hopeful that the conversations and commitments made at the summit would translate into real, measurable change.

The night also saw the presentation of prestigious awards such as the Hall of Fame, Award for Excellence, and the HIVE Alumni Exceptional Leader Award.

Prof Lumumba was honoured with the African Hall of Fame alongside other leaders from three other African countries, Dr. Evans DUAH, ACMA, CGMA, CA, CGIA, ICCE, FCILG, MIoD, Ghana; Engr.Sir Adokiye Tombomieye Onne, Nigeria; and Allen Sophia Asiimwe, Department CEO, Trade Mark Africa, Uganda.

The Chairperson of the Planning Committee, Mrs Nneka Jasper Ogbonna, urged Hive Leaders at the event to remain steadfast in their commitment to purpose-driven leadership, collaboration, and creating lasting impact across Africa and beyond.

The four-day summit delivered impactful panel discussions, practical workshops, and strategic networking sessions designed to foster collaboration and long-term partnerships across sectors and borders. The summit also created space for youth voices, innovation showcases, and heartfelt storytelling that captured the essence of pan-African solidarity.
