Bridges Between Continents: Omenaa Mensah and TOP CHARITY Celebrate 5th Anniversary,

Warsaw, Poland// – Wilanów was bursting at the seams as Omenaa Mensah—Ambassador of Africa in Europe—marked the 5th anniversary of the TOP CHARITY initiative.

This jubilee season serves as a powerful testament to the growing synergy between international business, high art, and impactful philanthropy, specifically highlighting the immense potential and multidimensional history of the African continent.

In the historic Wilanów Orangery, the 2026 edition of TOP CHARITY Art presents a world-class exhibition that serves as a sentimental and artistic journey to the 1960s—a period of significant cooperation between Poland and African nations, including Ghana, the homeland of Omenaa Mensah’s father.

The exhibition features works by some of the most influential African artists on the global market:
  • Amoako Boafo: Recognised as the most expensive-selling African artist. His work “Laced Fingers,” created with his signature fingertip technique, is a centrepiece of the collection, with an estimated value of €800,000 – €1,200,000.
  • Ibrahim Mahama: Named the most significant artist in the world in 2025 by ArtReview. His monumental installation “Sika Asem” is currently on display, exploring material as a carrier of memory and history.
  • Paweł Althamer: His bust “Erico” serves as a moving tribute to a young Kenyan volunteer who lost his life during the 2024 Nairobi protests, symbolising the fight for justice.

TOP CHARITY is not merely an art event; it is a mature model of philanthropy that has already transformed thousands of lives. Over the past five years, the initiative has built an international community that has:
  • Saved 578 children from slave labour in Ghana.
  • Supported the education of 7,157 students.
  • Provided scholarships and development for 99 students.
  • Cared for 1,200 wards in Polish Children’s Homes.
For the 2025/2026 season, TOP CHARITY will implement a total of 238 aid projects. Through the Philanthropic Consortium, the initiative has already donated over 30 million PLN to various non-governmental organisations.
The jubilee was graced by the legendary voice of Heather Small (M People), who performed at the vernissage. Her involvement extends beyond the stage; along with DJ Cuppy (Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola), she will serve as an ambassador for the musical space—including a professional recording studio and artistic residence—within the Sport&Art Complex currently being established in Ghana. This facility aims to provide African talents with professional conditions for creative expression and growth.

This year’s edition is of particular importance to me because it is also dedicated to the extraordinary art and history of the African continent, where my roots come from. It is a space where the world of highest art realistically translates into education, safety, and hope for a better future.”

says Omenaa Mensah, founder of the OmenaArt Foundation and TOP CHARITY

The initiative continues to break barriers with the Art Cat ASANTE project—the world’s first luxury Sunreef Yachts catamaran transformed into a floating art gallery. Under the curatorial supervision of Omenaa Mensah and the Phenomenaa Gallery, the vessel presents works by artists such as Kristie Arias, Julius Kadente, and Raphael Meine, taking art beyond traditional museum walls.
Furthermore, within the Wilanów Orangery, visitors can purchase contemporary African art through the Phenomenaa Gallery selection, with 50% of the proceeds directly supporting the OmenaArt Foundation’s mission to aid artists and cultural institutions.
