The year 2018 marked a turning point in the life of the company, according to the Board Chairman of the company, Ishmael Yamson.
Revenue margins
He told the shareholders: “MTN Ghana reported a strong performance for the year 2018. Service revenue increased by 23.5%, driven by the strong growth in voice, data and digital revenue including mobile money.”
Mr Yamson added that data revenue increased by 30.2% year–on- year while digital revenue grew by 34.6% year-on-year, within which mobile money revenue grew by 60.3% year-on-year.
Dividend payment
With of the impressive performance, the Board declared dividend of 5 pesewas per share to its Ghanaian shareholders of 127,826.
