Accra, February 2018//-Ghana’s President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and former president Mahama have expressed sympathy over the sudden death of multiple award-winning dancehall female artiste Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, known as Ebony Reigns.
The popular dancehall artiste died in a horrific road accident that occurred on the Sunyani-Kumasi road.
According to police, the 20-year-old singer, an unidentified lady and two military officers were on board a Jeep with registration AS 497—16 from Sunyani heading towards Kumasi when it collided head-on with a VIP bus travelling in the opposite direction.
The President said in a Twitter message: “Saddened by the news of the death of the young, but extremely talented female artiste, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, aka Ebony Reigns.
By all accounts, she had a very promising music career. My deepest condolences to her family, and to the families of the two others who died in the tragic accident. #RIPEbony“.
Also, former President Mahama said in a Twitter post on Friday, the former president said Ebony’s latest hit song Maame Hwe is his favourite song on domestic violence.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians have taken to social media including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to express their sympathy to the bereaved family over their great lost.
These are some of the late dancehall artiste hit songs are Kupe, Poison, Sponsor, Di Me Dwa and Maame Hw3.
