Actress Tracey Boakye to Family: ‘Paint My Coffin NDC Colours When I Die’

Accra, Ghana, February 22, 2019//-Tracey Boakye, a prolific and popular Kumasi-based actress, has appealed to her family if she dies they should paint her coffin with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) colours before she is buried.

Her statement shocked many people who started wagging their tongues as to what caused the actress to make that comment.

But the African Eye Report gathered that Ms Boakye made the statement to deny the fake news suggesting that she abandoned the opposition NDC.

The Shakira Movie Production boss in a one-on-one conversation with NY DJ on Kumasi’s YFM made it known that she had no idea about the news.

Ms Boakye denied that she had never said anywhere that the NDC which she is a proud member of is useless. In a bid to prove to listeners of the program, she continued that it is her wish for her coffin to be painted with NDC colours before she is buried.

According to the entrepreneur who owns several businesses in Kumasi, “I have been a lover of the party before turning eighteen so I cannot fathom why people would spread false information that I said I’m fed up with the party”.

On why her coffin should be painted with red, white, green, and black colours, Ms Tracey, revealed that “because I love them”. Tracey Boakye further revealed that her mother who is a lover of the New Patriotic Party has never questioned why her daughter supports NDC because she knows very well that she, Tracey is a die-hard fan of the umbrella party.

The multiple-award winning actress, recently her award- ‘Ghana’s Most Influential Entrepreneur 2018’ to Mr Ibrahim Mahama, the younger brother of former President John Dramani Mahama.

Receiving the award, the Actress/Producer Ms Boakye dedicated the award to her boss Mr Ibrahim Mahama, a business magnate for always encouraging her to go the extra mile in her entrepreneurial journey.

She said: “This award is special dedicated to my boss who has always been encouraging and advising me, Mr Ibrahim Mahama, this award is for you. Thank you very much!”

Ms Boakye who is said to be one of the most successful Kumawood actresses has featured in a number of Kumawood movies produced in Kumasi. These included-Vera, and Devil Between My Legs.
