MTN Ghana Investigates Brand Abuse

MTN Ghana has launched an immediate investigation into circumstances leading to its brand and logo being used to brand condoms and circulated on the social media.

The leading telecom service provider in a press release issued by its Acting CEO, Cynthia Lumor stated categorically that it has neither produced nor authorised the production of condoms on its behalf for any purposes whatsoever.

“The abuse of the company’s brand is an infringement against MTN’s intellectual property rights and MTN will pursue the full rigours of the law against any perpetrators”.

MTN remains committed to carrying out its mandate per the communications license agreements issued by the National Communications Authority, it stated.

MTN Ghana, according to Mrs Lumor remains resolute and steadfast in its vision of leading the delivery of a bold new digital world to its customers.
