Vivo Energy Ghana MD: Superior Consumer Insights Keep Shell Growing

Accra, Ghana, October 4, 2019//-Ben Hassan Ouattara, the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana Limited, the exclusive distributors and marketers of Shell branded products and services, revealed that superior consumer insights and exceeding their expectations are the key drivers of the growth of the Shell brand in the country.

Mr Ouattara who disclosed this at media encounter in Accra, explained that Shell brand has been in Ghana for over 90 years but it keeps on growing stronger and stronger.

He added that superior products: leading in fuel, lubricants and shop innovations in the industry; and superior communications also help to propel the growth of the Shell in Ghana.

When asked what makes the Shell brand different from the others? Mr Ouattara answered: “Shell brand believes in great customer experience, research, and innovative products, investment in people and technology and continuously improving to exceed customer expectations”.

Shell has been the number one for lubricants for over 11 years now. It has been most preferred brand with the highest quality fuel perception, highest share of visits, highest throughput with an enviable health safety environment and security records, according to him.

Shell Club Loyalty programme

Mr Ouattara also used the occasion to throw more lights on its newly launched innovative programme dubbed Shell Club Loyalty programme to excite its customers in the country.

 The programme is an innovation by Vivo Energy Ghana designed to offer customers value and smart choice in their daily purchases at Shell service stations.

Register for Shell Club Loyalty Card

To join the Shell Club and enjoy the many gifts, customers will have to visit Shell service stations to sign-on with just their cell phone number, Mr Ouattara explained.

“They will then be given their Shell Club loyalty card and a tag. Club members will be asked to either complete their registration through the Shell Africa App, the website or through our dedicated call centre.

The programme is rolled out to over 100 selected Shell service stations and will be extended to all service stations across the country in due course”.

After completing registration, customers have to buy fuel, lubricants or items from the shop from Shell stations to build points. These points can then be converted into gifts. Customers can choose gifts of their choice from the Shell Club catalogue.

Benefits

There is a sign up welcome bonus of 150 points when customers register at our selected stations. Customers will get another 350 points once they complete registration via our website, call center or Shell Africa App.

There are wide ranges of gifts available for customers from airtime, hampers, meal and shopping vouchers, electronic items, sports and beauty products, insurance, entertainment and transport.

“We have additional benefits where if customers buy more, visit our service stations more often, or combine purchases of fuel, lubricants and items from shop same day, they can double or triple their points”, Mr Ouattara emphasized.

“We will have special gifts from time to time for Shell Club members and so the benefits are enormous. I want to encourage all Ghanaian motorists to visit any of the 100 selected Shell stations from tomorrow to sign up and start enjoying the happiness at Shell”.
