June 19, 2018//-Several distress calls reaching 3news.com point to the fact that a number of areas in Ghana’s capital, Accra have been flooded, with properties going under water following hours of torrential rains.

Hundreds of people we understand have been trapped in their homes with several others getting stuck on their way to safety.

Badly hit areas include Mataheko, Kaneshie, Dansoman, Adjiringanor, Kwashieman-Santa Maria and Osu precisely the Osu Royal Preparatory School area.

Abraham Nii Adjah Otoo told 3news.com all efforts to get support from NADMO have proven futile.

He said he and a group of men tried to rescue some trapped people at Osu but the rescuing mission was getting daunting because they lacked the necessary equipment.

Terrified, Nii Abraham said he had to personally risk his life to come to the premises of TV3 to seek support in reaching the security agencies, fearing if help does not come on time many lives could be lost.
