MTN Promo: Teacher, UCC Graduate Emerged First Batch Winners

Accra, August 12, 2017//-A teacher of Agona Secondary Technical School, Isaac Sarfo and a graduate from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ms Linda Aryee have won a Hyundai i10 car each in MTN’s Spin the Wheel Promo.

The event held in Accra also saw other winners picking air tickets for all-expensive paid trip to Dubai, cash and 4G enabled smartphones in the first draw of the promotion.

While, 490 customers won football replica jerseys, 682 won MTN branded T-shirts and 1,166 customers took home power banks.

Presenting the prizes to the winners, the General Manager of Consumer Marketing at MTN Ghana, Noel Kojo-Ganson said: “Spin the Wheel promotion is one of several ways MTN intends to reward its loyal subscribers” in the country.

“This is driven by our quest as the leading telecoms brand in Ghana to always look beyond the telecommunications services we offer and add value to the customer’s experience”.

By extension it demonstrates the company’s commitment to making its customers’ lives brighter while they promote its digital agenda, Mr Kojo-Ganson stressed.

Highlighting the promo, he explained that the promotion is simple and opened to all pay as you go customers on MTN network.

Mr Kojo-Ganson said: “Customers who recharge airtime of GHC1.00 and above will receive an SMS indicating the number of Spin slots earned based on the amount recharged, after every recharge. The SMS comes with  a link to Spin”.

Customer clicks on the link and can open the WAP portal to spin or URL to install the app permanently on their phones.

Alternatively, customers can send “SPIN” to MTN short code 5040 to spin.

In an interview, the two overall winners of the first batch of the promo thanked MTN Ghana for the prizes.
