Accra, Ghana, November 21, 2018//-Our party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has now successfully navigated the most complex path of its reorganization agenda.
The journey began few years ago with theorganization of branches, constituencies, regions and ended three days ago, with a marathon congress.
Indeed, we have proven the doubting Thomases wrong! For all the ills that has been said aboutthe party by our political rivals, the records of historywill attest to a number of undeniable facts about the great NDC.
The successful election of our national officers over the weekend can attest to the fact that the NDC is well organized, well positioned, more energized and in a hurry to wrestle political power from the super incompetent and lazy NPP government.
Despite the unanticipated challenges encountered during the day, the congress was largely successful and on that note, let me use this medium to sincerely thank congress planning committee for the peaceful nature in which the just ended 9th National Delegates Congress was organized.
I also want congratulate the delegates for their good decision to elect the Samuel Ofosu Ampofo-led Executives to steer the affairs of our party for the next 4 years.
To all who contested the election but were unsuccessful, I applaud your spirit of competition and magnanimity. Every one of you helped define and makestronger our internal democracy. Because of you, NDC had real choices.Because of you, delegates felt free to exercise their constitutional right in consolidating the democratic gains of our party. Congratulations to you all!
Without doubt, I strongly believe that the new executives under the able leadership of comrade Samuel Ofosu Ampofo are experienced hands who would deliver victory for the party come 2020.
As a congratulate you, I will also like to remind you of the herculean task ahead of us. Let the success of the Congress unite the NDC fraternity for the 2020 victory we are aggressively pursuing.
