2nd Indian Education Expo

Accra, March 8, 2018//-More than five Indian tertiary institutions are taking part in the second Indian Education Expo which is underway in Accra, Ghana.

The expo which is primarily designed to open young talented Ghanaian students to education opportunities available in India, is being organised by the Mumbai-based Chartered Exhibitions & Media Pvt Ltd (CEMPL) in conjunction with the Educational Cultural Exchanges Accra.

The event being held at the secretariat of Association of African Universities (AAU), near the National Accreditation Board (NAB), Okponlogo a suburb of Accra would afford the Indian educational institutions to showcase their programmes, facilities, among others to Ghanaian students and Senior High School (SHS) graduates .

The expo would also provide an opportunity for the visiting Indian tertiary institution managers to counsel and guide the students and SHS graduates who are seeking to further their education in India.

Addressing journalists at a press conference on the ‘Indian Education Expo 2018’ held at the Multipurpose Hall of High Commission, Accra, the Director of CEMPL, Mr Sukanya Seshadri said the expo presents the best Indian universities and colleges for Ghanaian students to choose from.

This is a unique opportunity that comes once in a year, so dont miss out, he added.

On why should Ghanaians choose Indian schools, Mr Seshadri who was flanked by directors of the participating universities and colleges noted that the quality of Indian education is comparable to the best available anywhere in the world.

They added: “India’s higher education system is the third largest in the world, after China and the United States”.  As a result of this, many African students are doing their degree programmes in the areas of engineering, computer science, social science, law, education among others in India.

A representative of the RVS Group of Institutions, Mr Jobby Verghese added that another reason why Ghanaian students should turn India for tertiary education is the affordability nature of the school fees.

He continued that Indian educational institutions are well-resourced with the latest state-of-the-art facilities aimed at enhancing teaching and learning.
