Ghana: Maiden Charity Bazaar Attracts More Patrons

Accra, Ghana, May 21, 2018//-A maiden charity bazaar organised by members of the  Association of Spouses of Heads of Missions in Ghana has attracted more patrons from the diplomatic community, businesses and the general public.

The bazaar held at the Indian High Commissioner’s residence opposite Christ The King Church, near Flagstaff House, Accra attracted diplomatic missions such as India, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Iran, and Russia.

While the businesses which attracted the event included-B5 Plus, Sole Inspirational Ltd, Ekmac Fabrics, Sunshine Healthcare Ltd, Sneida Shopping Centre, Melcom as well as charity organisations.

Opening the bazaar, the president of the Association of Spouses of Heads of Missions in Ghana, Madam Richa Rao revealed that money raised from the bazaar would be used to support women and children empowerment in the West African country.

She was confident that the one-day event would be extended to two or more days in the near future and Madam Rao urged the diplomatic missions, businesses and the public to turn out in their numbers to participate in the bazaars.

She used the opportunity to thank the event’s sponsors including Melcom, IPMC, Belaqua Mineral Water, Kempinski Hotel and Fiesta Royale for coming to their aid.

Some of the exhibitors who spoke to the African Eye Report could not hide their joy for attending the maiden bazaar which was held on Saturday 19, May 2018.

“We are so grateful to the Association of Spouses of Heads of Missions and the India High Commission for hosting us today”, they said.
