Ghana: COVID-19 Caseload Rises Despite Major Recoveries

Accra, Ghana, May 21, 2020//-Ghana today added 173 new cases of the confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), increasing its caseload to 6,269 from 6,096.

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) which announced this attributed the rise to new cases found in Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western and Central regions.

Also 125 patients recovered from the virus since the last count bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,898, according to the GHS’ website update on May 20, 2020. It however said the number of deaths  still remain at 31.
