First Deputy Governor of Bank of Ghana Bows Out

Accra, Ghana, July 31, 2017- The First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana,  Millison Narh, has retired from the Bank.

This was contained in a statement issued  today in Accra by the Director of Communications at the BoG, Bernard Otabil.

According to the statement, Mr. Narh paid a courtesy call on His Excellency, the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo this afternoon, to announce his retirement from the Bank.

The President thanked Mr. Narh for his years of dedicated service to the country, and wished him well in his retirement. Present at the meeting were His Excellency, the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison.

Appointed the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank with effect from 20th July, 2009, Mr. Narh was subsequently appointed the First Deputy Governor on 21st July, 2013.
