Accra and Berlin, 7 August 2018//- ecoligo,  a leading German company says it values its continued membership as a platinum premium partner of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK Ghana).

The partnership gives ecoligo access to a valued network of local and German companies in Ghana, where ecoligo has a branch.

“As we establish our position in the market, it is increasingly beneficial for ecoligo to build a strong network within Ghana. As a platinum premium partner of AHK Ghana, we have been able to leverage the organisation’s high-quality events to meet business partners and potential clients.

This provides a platform for us to facilitate synergies, take part in knowledge exchange with other companies and develop new business relationships in the country”, Martin Baart, CEO of ecoligo said.

AHK Ghana works to provide support and promote the businesses of premium partners like ecoligo. The delegation also encourages international business opportunities through activities such as organising a variety of events. AHK’s Ghana office is situated in Accra and is one of the 140 locations worldwide.

“From our experience within a large network of Ghana-based businesses, we can clearly see the need for ecoligo’s fully financed solar-as-a-service solution in this market. Many of the companies here face high electricity costs and lack access to finance. We are happy to welcome a partner who we believe will have a visible impact on the business landscape in the country.” – Maximillian Butek, Delegate of AHK Ghana added.

ecoligo has financed and executed its first solar projects in Ghana in the past months, one of which is to provide a bank in Accra with solar energy. This project was supported by the German Energy Agency (dena) Renewable Energy Solutions Programme, which helped ecoligo to boost its marketing activities.

The project was commissioned last month and signals the bank’s move to more sustainable operations, as well as demonstrating ecoligo’s solar-as-a-service approach to other businesses in Accra.

Instructively, ecoligo provides a fully financed solar-as-a-service solution for businesses in emerging markets. With a complete digital platform for financing and delivering solar projects, ecoligo removes the barriers that prevent such projects from being realised. Supplying these businesses with affordable electricity enables them to grow and boost the local economy.

While AHK is located in 140 places in 92 countries around the world, the German Chamber Network (AHKs) offers its experience, network and services to German and foreign companies.
