COVID-19: Nigeria Shuts Lagos, Abuja International Airports

Abuja, Nigeria, March 21, 2020-  Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Aviation today announced that effective Monday 23rd of March Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja will be shut down for all International flights for a month as the country struggles to contain the deadly coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The Ministry made the announcement on its official Twitter handle @fmaviationng.

This laudable move forms part of the measures to help contain the spread of the coronavirus disease across the Africa’s most populous country.
