Accra, Ghana, November 30, 2019//-The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has given its strongest assurance that the new higher notes introduced recently would not fuel inflation in the country.

The new GHC100 and GHC200 news according to the Director of Research at BoG, Philip Abradu-Otoo, would systemically put onto the market to replace worn out currencies.

He told members of Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists (IFEJ) at a workshop in Koforidua that the new notes would be supply into the market in limited quantities.

Mr Abradu-Otoo therefore debunked the notion that the new currencies would cause upward spiral of inflation in the West African country.
