Season 6 of MTN Ghana Hitmaker Takes Off

Accra, July 22, 2017//-The season six edition of MTN Ghana hitmaker, an original talent hunt reality show opened to Ghanaians who believe they are bound to be hitmakers has been launched in Accra over the weekend.

According to senior officials of MTN Ghana, this year’s edition of the hitmaker TV reality show promised to be exciting than the previous ones.

Launching the music reality show, the Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana, Asher Khan said through the annual hitmaker show: “MTN has brightened the lives of several unsung musicians and their audiences”.

“These hitmakers have made significant  progress as a result of the GHC100,000 cash award for the launch of their music career-including music video production and promotion of their songs”, he added.

Mr Khan stressed that the telecom company’s vision to lead the delivery of a bold new digital world would also be reflected in this edition of hitmaker, saying: “We will make use of our powerful digital platforms like MTN play and Video+ to search for the talent and showcase them”.

This will make the mechanics for submitting demos simple, fast, convenient and fun. It will also provide more visibility and more chances of interactions, according to him.

The General Manager, Marketing Services at MTN Ghana, Richard Acheampong  urged the young talented musicians to take advantage of the show to showcase their prowess in music .

Operations Manager for Huawei Ghana, Jackie Yao, said, his outfit’s partnership with MTN would ensure this season of the reality show be an improvement and the best participants and enthusiasts had ever seen in the past.

The MTN Hitmaker realty show since its inception, has in the past five years groomed potential hitmakers across the country. It has produced talented musicians such as Naterial, Koo Ntakra, Togbe, Kidi and Kelvin.
