Strong competition

Strong competition is usually an indicator of business confidence in the market and competition can be healthy so long as there is enough of a market-share to go around. As an industry, all players have a vested interest in ensuring that we are contributing towards attracting the right sort of business; especially as the sector grows. Therefore, we have some common objectives and goals to work towards. We also continue to have a strong relationship with our government partners, he told this publication in the interview.

Continue to grow and adapt

“We intend to continue to grow and adapt to the changing world around us. A key element of our growth will be in understanding the intricacies of our diverse clientele. It is important that as much as possible we are meeting individual needs so that our customers to feel seen, heard and well taken care of.

Over the next four years and beyond, our customers can expect the best customer care from us at Mövenpick”.

Giving-back to the society

Mr Hauser who oversees the day-to-day operations of of the 5-star hotel indicated that the hotel has never relented its effort to give back to the Ghanaian society.

He emphasised: “We are very proud of our CSR programme SHINE, which focuses on three pillars – Environment, Employer and Social Sustainability – with Education being an important facet. SHINE’s main aim is to give back to the communities and as a major part of our Sustainability Management Plan, it has been crucial to achieving our Green Globe certification”.

“Another way in which we do this is to ensure that we are directing business to local suppliers as much as possible. We purposefully work with them in order to fuel channels of economic empowerment that benefit local businesses and ultimately Ghanaian families and communities”.
