Ghana: Starbow Aircraft Crashes at Kotoka International Airport

Accra, November 2, 2017//-Credible information reaching Africaneyereport.com indicates that a Starbow aircraft has involved in an accident at the Kotoka International Airport with some people injured.

According to reports, the aircraft veered off the tarmac as it attempted takeoff this afternoon. About five people have been rushed to nearby hospital for treatment while others have been left traumatized.

According to an eyewitness: ” The remaining passengers are being camped somewhere at the airport to prevent them from speaking to the media. But we spoke with a passenger who said the plane was about taking off when the incident happened”.

They have not been told the cause of the crash but some officials have been there to speak with them”.

Meanwhile, the mother of one of the passengers, who went to see her daughter off is still at the airport and is worried about her daughter’s fate. She said the flight officials told her it is not a crash. But the passenger onboard the plane said it was.

Recently, Aero Surveys Limited, operators of Starbow, a leading domestic airline in Ghana apologized to its cherished passengers, especially those who were on its flight S9103 on Sunday 9 April, 2017 for any inconvenience the incident might have caused.

“Starbow apologises to its cherished guests, especially those who were on its flight S9103 on Sunday 9th April, for any inconvenience this incident might have caused”, according to a statement issued and signed by the CEO of Starbow, Eric Antwi, Starbow.

In 2015,  passengers on board a Tamale-bound aircraft of Starbow Airlines had the scare of their lives when the aircraft, BAE with registration 9GSBB, crash landed in Tamale with no injuries were recorded.

In 2014, two people were injured after a Takoradi bound Starbow aircraft made an emergency landing.
