12 Young Ghanaian-American Ladies Battle for Miss Ghana USA Crown

April 24, 2018//-Organisers of Miss Ghana USA beauty pageant announced that 12 beautiful talented young Ghanaian-American ladies from different parts of the US with each representing a State in the US as well as a region in Ghana are contesting for the 2018 Miss Ghana USA award.

Any of the above-mentioned contestant who wins the seventh edition of the Miss Ghana USA 2018 will succeed the reigning queen, Ms Lucy Yeboah.

The annual Miss Ghana USA pageant will be held on Saturday, 30 June, 2018 at the Brooklyn Music School 126 Saint Felix Street, Brooklyn in New York, US.

Commenting on the diasporan beauty pageant, the founder of Miss Ghana USA, Madam Gloria Opare Gracia said: “The journey hasn’t been easy from day one but commitment, hard work, sense of patriotism and the zeal to succeed has seen us through our almost a decade of existence”.

She continued: “We are here to witness yet another milestone in the life of MGUSA; another opportunity to redefine beauty in the African perspective. Congratulations to all who made it to the finals”.

“A successful event is what we envisage for this year. Our prime focus is charity and has never changed. We’re looking forward to crowning a queen whose ideologies and principles remain in sync with our core mandate. Good luck to all contestants and may the best person win”, the  Brand Director at Miss Ghana USA, Edmund Dapaa added.

Instructively, Miss Ghana USA was founded in 2009 to promote young women of Ghanaian heritage and to provide them with an avenue  to achieve career goals and carry out social and humanitarian initiatives.
